B.D.A. International Conference 2018 Updates!

Although we don’t yet have a finalised programme for the BDA’s International Conference (April 12th – 14th 2018) we thought you might like to have a sneak peek at some of our plans. The title of the conference is “Evidence to Practice and Back Again”. So what’s in the name? Well essentially what we are doing this time is not only exploring the very latest research and thinking on all things dyslexia and associated neuro-diversity but we are aiming to translate these innovations into how they impact in the real world of education, training and employment. How this new understanding can improve the support that can be provided and make that support more effective.

Within the conference there will be dedicated practitioner streams and the opportunity to participate in Master Classes with some of our experts, now that’s not an opportunity that comes around very often!

There will also be an opportunity for parents/carers to participate in the conference and access the exhibition on Saturday. On the Saturday will also be a dedicated programme of topics aimed to provide information and advice for those with children of all ages who are dyslexic. These sessions will be led by experts who have extensive experience of providing support to both children and their parents/carers.

Our conference will have something for everyone, whether you want to find out about the latest research or thinking, how to improve your practice or how to support your children.
